The Workers Area
Magalluf is a great place to work either just for the summer season or all year around.
There are plenty of different work positions at various locations. It's not always bar work or a Pr Job. There are tour operators, hotels and self catering apartments. Lots of shops and restaurants, all these businesses need people to work.

You will find a lot of 'workers' coming back for another season in the sun. Don't hesitate to speak to them if you need any additional information, as their experience may help you to find a job or accommodation.

| The Worker's World Cup 2006 |

Congratulations to the lads!!!

If you dont already know about the competition you will do now. Around 8 weeks ago we were invited to compete in a mini world cup with 11 other countries.
The winning country would be flown to Argentina all expenses paid for 5 days to play in one of the 1978 world cup grounds in front of 44,000 people.

We put in a team of workers, myself and 21 other guys. Our group; Peru, Columbia and Spain.
Believe it or not we beat all three teams to meet Argentina in the semi finals, we then disposed of Argentina 2 - 1. To meet Uruguay in the Final on Saturday 20th May. 1 -1 after time and penalties where we won 4 -2 to claim the trophy.
Football is coming home and we´re going to Argentina!!! Fans were wicked by the way for those of you who were there. About 300 to 400 of you on Saturday, on behalf of all the guys in the team we really appreciated all the support that you have given us over the last few weeks.

| The Worker's Oscars 2005 |
For the second year in a row the Oscars were held in September at Bora Bora open air terrace, it turned out to be a fantastic day, more than 300 workers from Magaluf and Palma Nova workers were present to see who got voted for various awards.
The day was organized by Scott and Gary with the help of many volunteers, the afternoon was topped off with some nice entertainment from two live bands, one for the Boys and one for the Girls.
The dress code was big sunglasses, shirt & tie and shorts for the males and big sunglasses, gloves & hats and bikinis for the females.

| The Worker's Parties |

There are worker's parties throughout the summer months, they are held in various venues in Magalluf including Boomerangs Nightclub, Ness Sports Bar, Poco Locos and the Venue.

The most popular Workers party would have to be the Boat trip called –escape, this party is held once a month in the summer and is organised by Global Echo Productions.
|
The boat holds approximately 200 people and goes out for 3 hours around the bays of Magalluf and Palma Nova. On board the DJ’s of the bars and clubs of Magaluf and Palma Nova play their favourite tunes to the crowd that just doesn’t stop moving and grooving !

Emma worked at various venues in Magaluf this past summer and has stayed over this winter 04/05 working at 42nd street during the days. Emma is up for a party and a laugh and is always happy. She is not shy of dressing up for any event and has established herself as a hard working girl.
She has become the third Shagalluf Worker Of The Year the past two being the famous Omar and dAmO
All workers that are in Magalluf this summer look out because you could be nominated for the Shagalluf.com worker of the year 2005 award.
