Tunes Section | DJ Interviews

Welcome to our music section where we introduce you to some of the top DJs, and some of the best tunes around in Magaluf.

Some people say Magaluf hasn't got it anymore, but Magaluf with all its bars and clubs is still up there with all the other summer holiday resorts like Greece and Turkey.

The top clubs of course use some big-name DJs to entertain you, but don't under-estimate some of the smaller bars and clubs, most of them have some great DJs to make sure you will have a wicked night out. Here at shagalluf.com we introduce you to some of those DJs.
In the bars and clubs in Magalluf, there play house music, party tunes, old skool, Chill out, even Indie. RnB is still popular among the many Magalluf party people and you will find a few places that will play these tunes all night long.

You will find a lot of top DJs in Magaluf, such as Des Mitchell (welcome to the dance), Judge Jules (BBC1), DJ Sammy (Spain/Ibiza), Dave Pierce and Tim Westwood (Radio 1) and Ian Redman (Clubland UK) just to name a few in the bigger clubs. They are most likely to rotate in the summer, so check closer to the date to see who is playing where.

All throughout the summer we will keep you updated with the top 5 of Funky House, RnB and Dance put together by the DJs of Magaluf. © Copyright 2001 - 2006 Shagalluf.com

Exclusive Interview with Dj Lee Adamski (Bora Bora)

8th June 2006

Held at Bora Bora, Magaluf
1. When and where did you actually start your career?
I have always had an interest in music and went on to do a degree in performing arts and became particularly interested in the music/dj aspect of the course.

Whilst taking a holiday on board a cruise ship i met the Director of DME England (dj agency) who offered me an audition on one of the ships in the fleet." DJ Adamski was born....

2. Which moment was your breakthrough into the so called top?
As many of my good friends in the industry, my big break came from joining the team @ BCM in Mallorca in 2004, this is where i met the legend himself.. Des Mitchell

3. Tell us one of your funniest or embarrassing moments during your career.
Having missed the cruise ship from Holland in Dec 2002 i was forced to catch it up on a speed boat and was givin a warm cheer from the crew and passengers when i did. Luckily enough the captain seen the funny side andi kept my job...

4. What was your longest "shift"? And where was this gig?
A 12 hour session aboard the M.s Prince Of Scandinavia between Newcastle and Amsterdam... The northeners certainly know how to party!!

5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
If I continue to progress as I have over the last 3 years then who knows..., i'd like to do more writing, i've just released my first single "Vision" and loved writing that.

6. Would you like to share a usable tip for the up and coming DJ?
Play for your audience, live for the moment and never loose the passion..

7. CD or Vinyl what's your choice?
Vinyl will always be best loved format for me, however as technology progresses it seems that we all have to move with the times.

Because I play in so many different venues, the ability to transport my entire music collection to the gig, is now possible with digital media.

Anyone who knows me will know I never go anywhere without my laptop, thanks to massive hard drives it is possible to archive your entire collection in original Audio format without having to compress it down to Mp3 and suffer the resulting loss of quality. Rane - Serato is the future (thanks des)"

8. Your favourite place? Chill out bar or Nightclub?
You cant get me in a nightclub without wanting to play, although after a long session theres nothing more relaxing than a chill out area with a glass of wine with some friends.

9. What would have been one of your highlights in your career?
Would be hard to name one, getting my big break @ BCM Mallorca would come @ the top. I also enjoy the continuos buzz i get when people come up and ask me to play "Vision" not knowing it was my track...

10. Who is your team to win the world cup 2006 in Germany?
I've got £20 on Trinidad and Tobago to win and @ 750-1 1'm gonna make a few quid,, although i'll be backing England 100% of course. © Copyright 2001 - 2006 Shagalluf.com
